How to read the figure
What is drawn
117,704 entities in the graph, including 4,318 compounds. 139 compounds have findings and 2,334 have a transporter route; 145 are drawn here, counting the compounds their findings and routes reach. Common metabolites such as ATP and water are left out.
How the layout works
Compounds and endpoints with findings sit in the middle. What they connect to forms the next ring, and the wider reference data lies outside it. Zoomed out, the outer ring is shaded, not drawn line by line: a darker patch has more connections, not stronger ones.
Size
Every node is drawn at the same size. Size and brightness never stand for a quantity. The number of connections a node has is listed under Entities.
Selection
Selecting a node highlights its neighbourhood. Its direct connections light up in the accent colour and the rest of the graph fades. Each step further out is lit a little less.
