How it is measured

Core body temperature in degrees Celsius by an instrument that reads a CORE site — rectal probe, oesophageal probe, or ingestible telemetric pill. Site recorded with each finding, because the three do not agree during exercise: oesophageal tracks arterial change fastest and rectal lags it by several minutes at the same true core temperature.
