Method
Brachial diastolic blood pressure by cuff sphygmomanometry or a validated automated device, pooled across trials whose acquisition protocol the source report does not record. The defining property of this node is that the acquisition conditions are unrecoverable from the published pooled estimate.
The method is part of the endpoint identity. Studies measuring the same quantity by a different method are held as separate endpoints.
Notes
Systolic blood pressure comes from the same cuff inflation and is printed in the same sentence, yet the two dissociate systematically in this batch — PMID 41000008 finds magnesium moving both while PMID 40045266 finds only the diastolic component, a disagreement that is only visible if they are separate nodes. Also distinct from diastolic blood pressure (office/clinic), where the seated clinic visit is documented and the value can be assumed free of ambulatory averaging; pooling the two asserts an acquisition protocol the source declined to state. Direction of benefit is a property of the endpoint, not of the observed result: PMID 18054420 reported a RISE with maca as a safety signal, and that is a harmful finding on this node, not a reason to re-sign it.
