Endpoint
Subjective fatigue
CAT:outcome/subjective-fatiguereported in instrument-specific score
Method
Score on a named validated self-report instrument measuring FATIGUE specifically. Instrument recorded on the edge.
The method is part of the endpoint identity. Studies measuring the same quantity by a different method are held as separate endpoints.
Notes
Admitted only because it is measured with an instrument. "Energy", "wellbeing" and "focus" are not outcomes and must not be minted -- §4 names that exact failure. DEFINITION TIGHTENED 2026-08-17. A corpus survey found this node acting as a magnet for five distinct instruments: rating of perceived exertion, the Feeling Scale, perceived recovery status, subjective sleep quality, and an objective repeated-sprint fatigue index. In one trial they moved in DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS, so pooling them here would have let real effects cancel on a single node and rendered the result as no_effect. What belongs here: instruments whose construct is fatigue. What does not, and where it goes instead: - repeated-sprint fatigue index -> repeated-sprint-decrement (objective, derived from measured times, not reported by anyone) - rating of perceived exertion -> nowhere yet. RPE is effort DURING a task, not fatigue after one, and it awaits a second paper. - affective valence, Feeling Scale -> nowhere. Valence is not fatigue. - subjective sleep quality -> nowhere yet. - perceived recovery status -> nowhere yet. A finding with no home is omitted. That is the correct outcome and the reason the survey is kept: the gap is recorded rather than papered over by mapping it here.
