Method

Standardised mean difference in anxiety symptom severity pooled across whichever self-report or clinician-rated instruments the primary trials used, with no single instrument common to the analysis. The constituent instruments are listed on the edge.

The method is part of the endpoint identity. Studies measuring the same quantity by a different method are held as separate endpoints.

Notes

Confused with the Hamilton Anxiety Scale score, a named clinician-administered instrument that belongs to its own node; most instruments folded into a pooled anxiety estimate are self-report, and clinician and self ratings of anxiety correlate only moderately. Recording a named-instrument result here erases the instrument and makes the edge unreproducible. Also distinct from the pooled perceived-stress and pooled depression measures, separate constructs frequently measured in the same participants at the same visit — three standardised mean differences from one trial are one study, not three.
