Method
Perceived soreness on a named validated scale — visual analogue scale (VAS) or Likert — at a stated interval after a damaging bout. Instrument and interval recorded on the edge.
The method is part of the endpoint identity. Studies measuring the same quantity by a different method are held as separate endpoints.
Notes
Admitted on the same grounds as subjective-fatigue: it is self-reported but measured with an instrument at a defined time point. The interval is not optional metadata — soreness peaks 24 to 72 hours post-exercise, so an edge without it does not identify what was measured.
