Endpoint
Incidence of cardiovascular disease (composite)
CAT:outcome/cardiovascular-disease-incidence-compositereported in relative risk
Method
Composite incident cardiovascular events as defined by each source study, pooled as a relative risk. The component set is recorded on the edge and is never assumed.
The method is part of the endpoint identity. Studies measuring the same quantity by a different method are held as separate endpoints.
Notes
Will be confused with major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE, PMID 31740020) and with the coronary-only composite. All three are composites whose component sets differ between papers and are frequently left unstated -- two edges both labelled CVD composite with different components are not comparable evidence, and an edge whose component set is unknown should be graded down for that reason alone. Where the components are stated and coronary-only, use the coronary node instead of this one.
