Method
Vertical displacement of the centre of mass in a countermovement jump, by force platform, contact mat, or optical system. The apparatus is recorded on the edge — jump-mat and force-plate estimates differ systematically.
The method is part of the endpoint identity. Studies measuring the same quantity by a different method are held as separate endpoints.
Notes
The most frequently measured endpoint in the survey, in four of fourteen abstracts, and previously unmappable. CMJ added 2026-08-23 after a two-pass-agreed caffeine claim was refused on the span "CMJ performance", which shares no scored word with this entry. The abbreviation is near-universal in this literature and collides with no other outcome's vocabulary. Note the claim was refused for a SECOND and correct reason — "showed a positive effect on" states no direction of movement — and remains refused; only the object half was the defect. NOT peak-power-output. That node is mechanical power in watts from a cycle ergometer effort; this is a displacement in centimetres from a whole-body ballistic movement. They correlate and they are not the same measurement, and an edge pooling them would claim a wattage no trial reported.
