Endpoint
Squat jump height
CAT:outcome/squat-jump-heightreported in cm
Method
Vertical jump height from a held static squat position, initiated without a preparatory dip, by force platform or contact mat.
The method is part of the endpoint identity. Studies measuring the same quantity by a different method are held as separate endpoints.
Notes
Kept separate from countermovement-jump-height rather than pooled as "jump height", because the difference between them IS the measurement: the preparatory dip loads the stretch-shortening cycle and this test deliberately removes it. A supplement can move one without the other, and one paper in the survey found exactly that. The measurement above is worded to avoid the word "countermovement", and that is not stylistic. Object plausibility scores a span against an outcome's label and measurement, so a description saying what a test is NOT puts the excluded term into this node's vocabulary — "no countermovement" made the span "countermovement jump height" score identically against both nodes, and ties pass. A definition that names its contrast defeats the check that keeps it distinct.
