A pathway is a curated set of reactions that a database groups under one name. Everything the graph places in it is listed below, and each row is a hypothesis about membership rather than a finding.

That is a fact about how much has been curated and about the shape of the connection, not about the pathways: a pathway reaches a curated compound through a protein, which is two steps, and the indexation floor asks for one.
