Stimulated whole salivary flow rate

How it is measured

Volume of whole saliva secreted per minute during a timed collection with chewing of paraffin wax or taste (citric acid) stimulation, by weighing or measuring the collected saliva (sialometry), in millilitres per minute. Collection duration and stimulus are recorded with each finding.
