Pure-tone audiometric hearing threshold

How it is measured

Lowest sound level in decibels hearing level at which the patient detects a pure tone, by pure-tone air-conduction audiometry at stated frequencies between 250 Hz and 12 kHz. Frequency, and whether the value is a threshold or a change from baseline, are recorded with each finding.
