Peri-implant probing pocket depth

How it is measured

Distance in millimetres from the peri-implant mucosal margin to the base of the peri-implant sulcus or pocket, read with a graduated periodontal or plastic probe at six sites per implant (mesial, distal, buccal and lingual aspects) and averaged per implant. Probe type and number of sites are recorded with each finding. Reported either as the value at a timepoint or as the change from baseline in millimetres; which is recorded with each finding.
