Endpoint
At least 50% pain relief over 4-6 hours (acute postoperative pain)
CAT:outcome/pain-relief-50-percent-responder-acute-postoperativereported in proportion
How it is measured
Proportion of patients achieving at least 50% of the maximum possible pain relief over 4 to 6 hours after a single dose in acute postoperative pain, derived by dichotomising total pain relief (TOTPAR) or summed pain intensity difference (SPID) at that threshold. The observation window (4, 5 or 6 hours) and whether TOTPAR or SPID was used are recorded with each finding.
