Endpoint
Lymphocyte subpopulation proportions
CAT:outcome/lymphocyte-subpopulation-proportionsreported in percent of lymphocytes
Method
Proportions of peripheral blood lymphocyte subsets -- T, B, natural killer and memory phenotypes -- expressed as percentages of total lymphocytes by multi-parameter flow cytometry, reported as a panel rather than as a single named marker.
The method is part of the endpoint identity. Studies measuring the same quantity by a different method are held as separate endpoints.
Notes
A panel-level node for reports that give a subset profile with no single primary marker. DIRECTION OF BENEFIT IS NOT WELL DEFINED here: the proportions sum to a fixed total, so a rise in one subset is necessarily a fall in another and the recorded direction is nominal only. Every edge must name which subset moved. Will be confused with the single-marker percentage nodes and with absolute subset counts -- proportions and counts diverge whenever the total lymphocyte count changes.
