Endpoint
Serum desmethylicaritin peak concentration (Cmax)
CAT:outcome/desmethylicaritin-cmaxreported in ng/mL
Method
Maximum observed serum concentration of desmethylicaritin after a single oral dose, read directly from the LC-MS/MS concentration-time series by non-compartmental analysis.
The method is part of the endpoint identity. Studies measuring the same quantity by a different method are held as separate endpoints.
Notes
Will be confused with total exposure for the same analyte, reported in the same table from the same curve. This is a single sampled maximum and is sensitive to sampling density; total exposure is an integral and is not. A modified-release formulation lowers this while holding exposure constant, so mapping one onto the other can turn a formulation success into an apparent failure. Also distinct from Tmax, which is a time rather than a concentration, and from icariside II Cmax, a different analyte.
