Serum desmethylicaritin exposure (AUC0-inf)

Method

Area under the serum concentration-time curve extrapolated to infinity for desmethylicaritin, quantified by LC-MS/MS after a single oral dose and computed by non-compartmental analysis.

The method is part of the endpoint identity. Studies measuring the same quantity by a different method are held as separate endpoints.

Notes

Will be confused with icariside II exposure from the same samples -- a different analyte on the same metabolic pathway, with a Tmax roughly six times earlier and a five-fold smaller exposure. Also confusable with steady-state chronic-feeding exposures such as the serum zeaxanthin and beta-cryptoxanthin curves in PMID 30321275, which are reported in umol L-1 d-1 from repeated dosing and are not single-dose extrapolated exposures; the unit strings look similar and the quantities are not comparable.
