Advanced hepatic fibrosis (presence)

How it is measured

Proportion of patients with advanced liver fibrosis, a stated higher fibrosis stage (for example METAVIR F3-F4 or an equivalent), ascertained by liver biopsy or a validated noninvasive fibrosis-staging method, in patients with chronic liver disease. The staging system and the threshold used to define 'advanced' are recorded with each finding.
